Shockingly, their relationship didn't last and they broke up. Intimate photos of Simbu with Nayanthara were leaked and many believed that it was released by him.
Soon after, the stars moved on with new relationships. Nayanthara is now in love with director Vignesh Shivn while Simbu keeps his personal life private.
They briefly reunited on-screen for a film called 'Idhu Namma Aalu' but it failed to perform at the box office. Now, it's rumoured that the ex-lovers will be seen together in a film again.
A new project has been announced with the 'Vinnaithaandi Varuvaya' and 'Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada' success combo of Simbu, director Gautham Menon and music composer AR Rahman.
It's reported that Nayanthara might be joining hands with Simbu and their fans are excited for this project to materialise.
There hasn't been any confirmation from both parties but the news is expected to be made public soon.
