Users Troll Facebook, Instagram & WhatsApp On Twitter

Major social networking apps - Facebook, Instagram, and Whatsapp - appear to be partially down for users globally.

Many users are experiencing glitches when trying to send messages, as well as using certain features on the above-mentioned platforms. 

The issues began on Wednesday afternoon (13th March) and were yet to be rectified on Thursday (14th March) morning. 

Addressing rumours that the outage is due to some kind of cyber attack, Facebook said it is not due to a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack. However, the firm has yet to confirm the reason behind this severe outage.

With Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp down, people have turned to Twitter to joke about the outage, using the hashtags #WhatsappDown #FacebookDown and #InstagramDown.
