My hometown is in Sungai Petani, however, we moved to Ipoh when I was still a kid. My mom was a religious class teacher and I was trained to sing thevaram and bhajans since the age of 5.

Even though I didn't have the passion for singing at that age, yet I took part in temple dramas.

It was after form 5 where I realized my love for singing. I joined a singing competition held at the National Service and won second prize. I got lots of compliments from my friends and National Service members that time, and that boosted my confidence.

When I joined university to study for accounting, I took part in so many cultural events and intra-university competitions. Even though I didn't win any of the competitions, yet it helped me to believe in myself and I began shifting my focus towards music.

My parents, however, was supportive of my interest in music, but wanted me to complete my studies and get a stable job for myself.

I got my very first opportunity in a very unexpected way! I performed a song during a dance competition at MAHSA university and Director Vassan who happened to be the judge for the competition complimented me. He then took my contact number and gave me the opportunity to sing the song 'Arabu Kuthirai' in a Malaysian movie titled 'Tandava'.

Following that, I sang in another single, 'Mele Mele' featuring Haze Freaky G by Sundra' Music. I had the intention to come up with an album, but I couldn't as I was still studying.

I used to compose my own tunes during my free time, and in the year 2011, I started working on the song 'Adiye Kirukki'. The music was composed by Shane X'treme and the lyrics was written by Maney Villanz. I took plenty of time to work on the song and only released it in the year 2013, once I have graduated.

The song was a hit, but many didn't even recognise me as the singer of the song. I realised that I need more marketing for the song, thus approached Kartik Shamalan to work on the music video.

I released the song video in the following year and only then people actually started to recognise me as the singer. At the same time, I also won two awards for the song. It was all the motivation I ever needed to succeed in my music career.

In 2015, I released another single titled 'Naan Pogiren'. The song was received well among public and now I was more then determined to release my own album.

The next year, I released my album titled 'Adiye Kirukki'. I composed my very first song 'Puthusa Oru Thinusa', as well as sang another song 'Ammavin Punnagai' with my mother. It was actually a tribute to her, who have taught me and inspired me to become the person I am today.

The album was received well among the public, where many was eagerly waiting for the CD to be out.

Sadly, what I expected to be my greatest achievement become the other way around when the song was uploaded on the internet one day after the audio launching without my consent. The illegaly uploaded songs had about 10,000 over download in just days.

I was also planning to do a roadshow to sell the original song CD initially. But to make things worst, a group of people already started selling the pirated copies of the CD in the market.

It was the worst time of my life, as I had invested alot into making the album. I didn't feel the burden when I was just makings singles, but it really hit me hard once my album was launched.

I struggled to sell the original CD of my album and unable to sell most of it. It's been two years since that day and I have still not fully recovered from the loss I have to bare.

Now, I'm working full time as an accountant and I've taken a short break from making albums. But at the same time, I'm also in the midst of planning a devotional album. I will definitely come back even stronger.

Thank you for my family and friends for being my pillar of support throughout my journey. And thank you to my fans for recognizing me as a local talent. It's been an honour!
