Bigg Boss Meera Mithun: I Will Definitely Enter Politics, Tamil Nadu Needs a Woman Leader Like Jayalalithaa Amma

  • 03 Nov 2019

Bigg Boss Meera Mithun is a woman of many talents. She's a model, actress, dancer and now she's stepping into a new role as a politician.
"I will definitely get into politics. That is a sure shot. Because I faced a lot of problems as a woman and a citizen this year. That's when I realised the real state of Tamil Nadu. If someone as influential and powerful as I am cannot get justice, imagine the regular people," she said at a press meet held recently.
Surprised? These are her own words. She also indicated that the inspiration for her political aspirations as she grew up was her social activist father and his struggles.
"In my opinion, when Jayalalithaa Amma (former CM) was in AIADMK, the state (Tamil Nadu) was so good, at least for the women. But now, we have turned into a male chauvinist society," she claimed.
She added that her problems with the channel hosting Bigg Boss and some people in the industry might have been resolved if Jayalalithaa Amma was around.
"Maybe here's a lack of strong women politicians in the ministries or anywhere. I will get into politics for social awareness. Instead of complaining, I want to work on the ground," she explained.
