Vishnu Vishal's Next Revealed!

The first-look of the action thriller, "FIR" which stands for Faizal Ibrahim Raiz was released on its hero's, actor Vishnu Vishal, 35th birthday.

It features the actor's face, masked by a dark cloth, with newspaper cuttings about terrorist groups in the background.

After having assisted Gautham Vasudev Menon for seven years, Manu Anand is making his debut as a director and he is certainly proud of his work!

"The film is the story of a young Muslim man from Chennai and the events that happen in his life," Manu explained. The film's poster seems to suggest that it is about terrorism, but the director disagreed saying, "I wouldn't say so. Terrorism forms the backdrop, but this is a humane story of a young man who is caught in certain inexplicable circumstances, and what happens to him."

He also emphasised that he isn't looking to offend anyone's religious beliefs, "The story is more relevant to what is happening all over India these days. It does not take a stance on any particular religion. It is a story that could happen to anybody."

He even spoke about why he cast Vishnu, "I was looking for a young hero, who could pass off as a 25-26-year-old and Vishnu fits the role perfectly."

He teasingly revealed that he's planning to present the actor in a look that we haven't seen him in and Manjima will be playing the role of a junior advocate.

It was no coincidence that the first look was revealed on the actor's birthday, in fact, it was all part of plan! The spokesperson for the film said, "The team wanted to release the poster for Vishnu Vishal's birthday. The shoot schedule and location, and other details about the cast and crew are yet to be finalised."

Vishnu celebrates his 35th birthday today. He was last seen in "Silkkuvarapatti Singam", and is currently busy with director Ezhil's "Jagajala Killadi" co-starring Nivetha Pethuraj. He also has "VV18" with Vikranth, written by Vijay Sethupathi and directed by Sanjeev.

There is speculation that he will reprise Nani's role as a cricketer in the Tamil remake of "Jersey", one of the biggest Telugu hits of this year. Reports say Rana Daggubati has acquired the Tamil remake rights, and has already approached Vishnu Vishal to play the lead, and Nelson Venkatesan to direct the film.
