Boney Kapoor: 3 Films With Ajith? That's Rubbish!

  • 13 Jul 2019

Rumours of a 100-crore (RM 60 million) deal for three films between producer Boney Kapoor and superstar Ajith were on an all time high recently and created a buzz in the media because it is, honestly, a thrilling thought.

Ajith is well loved in the South and the idea that he would also make it big in Bollywood would be great for the actor's career except it's not going to happen anytime soon...

Yup, the rumours were just rumours after all. Boney Kapoor made sure of that by throwing a dose of the reality on the gossip by tweeting, "Seeing false reports of 3-film deal between Ajith and me in the media. Want to straighten the record. After #Nkp, we are working on an action film. While I would love to have him for a Hindi film, he has not confirmed anything yet."

Guess we'll have to wait a little longer for that to happen, Ajith fans. But what is confirmed is the film the two has worked on together, "Nerkonda Paarvai", which is slated to be released in August.

"Nerkonda Paarvai" is a remake of the Hindi film, "Pink" and Ajith is playing Amitabh Bachchan's role in the Tamil version as a lawyer. It is touted to be one of the much-anticipated films of the year. The makers of the film recently unveiled a dance number for it featuring Indian-born French actress, Kalki Koechlin.

The song titled "Kaalam" is a party number and is the highlight of the film as it is the turning point for a series of events that disrupts the lives of the three leading ladies.

This will be Kalki's debut in Kollywood as she is mostly seen in Bollywood films but she is quite happy to be a part of the "Pink" remake. She said Boney simply called her up and asked her to be in it, which she happily said yes to.

She said "Boney ji called me and said it was the opening song for the remake of Pink which is a film I really enjoyed. I was happy to see this happening in the south."

Fans of Ajith would be happy to know that Kalki also confirmed what a nice and polite man Ajith really is in real life despite his superstar status. She said, "Ajith was very polite and was actually the only man on set to go out of his way to come say hi to me. He's lovely and we bonded over our love for pet dogs."

Doesn't that just warm the cockles of your heart knowing that Ajith is such a humble man and has no ego whatsoever? We can learn a lot of from him about manners.

She also said that the film has the potential of teaching young fans on how to be conscious of women's rights and dignity, saying, "If it's made right, such a film can really change mentalities of young fans, especially, males who look up to someone like Ajith."

It's nice to know that Ajith is such a nice role model on and off camera. What do you think, readers?
