Malaysian Actress Jasmine To Fight Vikram In Kadaram Kondan

  • 11 Jul 2019

Vikram's highly anticipated 'Kadaram Kondan' is hitting theatres on 19th July, and a gorgeous and talented Malaysian actress will be making her Kollywood debut in this movie.
Sarawakian starlet Jasmine Kaar has been roped in to play a prominent role in the movie, produced by Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan, whose daughter Akshara Haasan is the female lead.

Though born in Sarawak, Jasmine settled down in Australia upon completing her degree in finance and marketing. She took on a finance-based job but soon realised it wasn’t her passion.
Jasmine moved to Kuala Lumpur and took up every opportunity that came her way, attending every casting call whether it was for commercials, music videos or modeling.
To penetrate the movie industry, she took up small roles and even played extras.

Jasmine got her big break once she landed a prominent role in movies such as Our Girl, Crazy Rich Asians, Salon, and C144; but little did she expect to eventually be in Kadaram Kondan.
"I followed a friend and had no idea which movie I was casting for. I only know that they were looking for someone to play a gangster. The director Rajesh M. Selva believed I fit into the role perfectly and even then I had no idea that I will be playing along Vikram," says the actress.
"I went speechless upon discovering I'll be working with Vikram, in a Kamal Haasan movie," she added.

Even though she wasn’t able to speak or understand Tamil, the entire crew of Kadaram Kondan was helpful in assisting and guiding the actress to ensure she gave her best possible performance.
"I don't believe in language barriers; whether it's Tamil or Korean, I will still take up a role since I'm very passionate about being an actor."
Jasmine, who will be attending the movie premiere in Chennai, is now working on two other projects.
Congratulations Jasmine. You go, girl!
