  • 06 Jul 2019

Sid Sriram is a singer, songwriter, composer, and producer, who's shot to fame within a short period of time.

Born in India and raised in America, Sriram hails from a traditional Carnatic family. His mom, Latha Sriram, is a Carnatic music teacher and his sister, Pallavi Sriram, is a Bharatanatyam dancer.

With a rich foundation in South Indian classical Carnatic music, Sriram later tapped into pop and R&B.
Falling in love with music, he enrolled and graduated from the Berklee College of Music with a degree in Music Production and Engineering before approaching legendary music director AR Rahman to look for an opportunity to prove himself.

He got into the South Indian music industry via AR Rahman's 'Adiye Adiye' and the rest is history!

The talented singer has earned a huge fan base in a short span of time - a group of loyal followers across the globe, especially Malaysia.

Sid Sriram who calls Malaysia his second home, is back here for the 4th consecutive year - this time for his 'Heart and Soul with Sid Sriram LIVE in KL', held on 6th July 2019 at the Quill Convention Centre.

Sid Sriram fans are definitely in for a treat as the singer will modernise evergreen songs of Illayaraja and AR Rahman by adding his own magical touch.

"I want to create a unique experience through my music which allows people to feel a spectrum of emotions; I make music for those who need healing," said Sid Sriram during the press conference at the Quill Convention Centre on 5th July.

Other performers at the event, organised by Woodmark Events, include Sanjeev Thomas on guitar, Leon James on keys, Harshit Misra on bass, Praveen Sparsh on percussion and Tapass Naresh on drums.
