    Astro Ulagam found a delicious Vazhaipoo Puli Kuzhambu recipe that is rich is vitamins and minerals. Cook this as an appetizing meal or to manage diabetes and anaemia.


    INGREDIENTS:

    Vazhaipoo- 3 set of blossom)



    Chickpea flour- 2 tbsp



    Rice flour/ corn flour- 1 tbsp



    Red chili powder- 1 tsp



    Asafetida- a pinch



    Salt- to taste



    Oil- 5 tbsp



    Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp



    Fenugreek seeds- 1/2 tsp



    Jeera- 1/2 tsp



    Small onions, chopped- 10



    Garlic, cut- 5 cloves



    Tomato, chopped- 2 small



    Tamarind- small gooseberry size



    Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp



    Red chili powder- 1 tsp



    Coriander powder- 1 and 1/2 tsp



    Coconut milk - 2 tbsp(optional)



    Salt- to taste


    Instructions:

    1) Marinate the flowers with chickpea flour, rice flour, chili powder, asafetida,salt and water until it reaches a pakora consistency.

    2) Fry the flowers until they are slightly crispy on the outside.

    3) Splutter the mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds and jeera. Add onions, garlic and tomatoes. Cook until tomatoes are mushy.

    4) Add the soaked tamarind water and 2 cups of water. Mix turmeric, chili powder, coriander powder and salt. Close the lid and let it cook.

    5) Add coconut milk if necessary. Serve with steamed rice.
